Lucinda Grandy Stearns (1831-1909)

Gilbert Alanson and Lucinda Grandy Stearns were Dottie's great-grandparents. They were married on November 1, 1854, and became parents to nine children, three of whom died in childhood. Of the six surviving children (all sons), the second oldest was Alanson Banks Stearns; he was Dottie Wenzinger's paternal grandfather (i.e., the father of her father, Eric Swain Stearns). Gilbert Alanson Stearns was born March 27, 1831, in Upton, MA. - listed as a farmer according to the MA 1865 census Lucinda Grandy was born in Warren, VT, on July 6, 1831.
